An old one

What if MS designs the iPod package: I was just checking some old links i had and also attended a session from Jesse James Garrett, which reminded me of this youtube video.

What an empty src translates to!!!!

Yesternight, while trying to debug a bug logged against our ASP.NET code, we crashed into a wierd problem. The scenario of the problem was: - We had an ASP.NET page. When opened in IE, the page seemed to be executing fine. But loading this in FireFox (both versions 2 and 3b2), resulted in the ASP.NET Page lifecycle (OnInit,etc.etc.) being called twice. We then used tcptrace (a tool similar to Fiddler . We were unable to get Fiddler working for FireFox, even after using the Pac file). We found that every postback resulted in the page being requested twice. One was a POST request (PostBack). The other was a GET request. Our immediate assumption was that ajaxcontroltoolkit must be trying to do some GET request only for FireFox browsers. Further analsysis cancelled this out, 'cos we realized that even IE was sending a request. But there was a difference: - IE was sending the request to the directory hosting the page - FireFox was sending the request to the page to which the PostBack h...

Template Modified!!!!

u must have seen all those loose endings which were present in my previous template... Finally i got rid of it. Have instead built it up using this new template. Of course, blogger, is giving me a horrible time :( Never faced such difficulties, it repeatedly gives me an error while republishing. Blogged with Flock

while(true) { DoThingsYouDontEnjoy(); }

Hmm, my last post as a 25 year old... after which the age variable increments! I know, my life currently seems to be on a recursive loop, with no dyanmic changes to the code between the open braces and the end braces. But surely this will change :) and hopefully pretty soon. Am working on some resolutions, hopefully they work out better than the ones i set for my previous year. Or maybe not.... who knows!!!! Some persons say that a silence is usually followed by a storm. You think that's true? I hope it is! But for the heck of it, first get rid of this template!!!! Yes, i ll be working on this template from tomorrow. Did i say tomorrow???? I meant...... Am i drunk or what????? At home, drunk, sounds funny does nt it???? Or who knows, may be i am!!!!!

Catch me if you can

If you had been following my vox blog , you would have known that i started reading the book " Catch me if you can " by Frank Abagnale... The book was damn good!!!! Never knew that any book can be so interesting after seeing the movie tons of times. Anyway, this was a real page turner. I lost quite a good amount of sleep, though i consider it a rare commodity. As usual, the book is quite different from the movie. Now i am unsure as to whether the book is the real true story or the movie. Am still awestruck by the many qualities of this guy!!! He paid attention to simple details such as deposit slips which we would not have even bothered giving a second glance. HUH!!!! Blogged with Flock
