Wondering what happens inside those .NET classes?????????

Do you program using Whidbey???? or even VS.NET 2003????
I do, with Whidbey beta 1.
Anyway somebody pointed me to a product available freely. I, the inquisitive one downloaded it.
Executed it.
Looked good.
But what about the functionality???
It loaded up some dlls i had seen in .NET.. But what the heck he had used System.Reflection just to get the functions, something I had been doing long ago.
Was about to close it when i realised that the methods mentioned were links. As usual the curious me decided to explore.
Assuming that it will take me to msdn help for that method i clicked.
And lo and behold it showed me, I am serious, the full code in C#. Wow, there's something I can't do. Imagine knowing the IL for .NET and using it to build a full fledged disassembler. I seriously recommended dotnet Reflector found at Lutz Roeder's Programming.NET C# VB CLR WinFX for a really serious programmer. Found at the site are various other superb tools.

The fight is in the open

Been busy lately and so have not managed to post for quite long. But I just had to post this. This post is dedicated to all persons who dont know anything about the fight between MS and Google: Check out the links starting from: http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9588_22-5875433.html?tag=nl.e589 There are more links as you get thru the article. Be sure to read those too. And just as a side-note: Check out " Atlas ". These are client side and server side components, which easily (??) enable you to make Web calls. This is done by encapsulating AJAX. (please dont insult by telling me that you dont know what that is).

Imagine...an internet based world

Was reading "The Google Story", when i got this wierd idea. Consider a stripped down version of Linux, meant only for doing simple things such as browsing the internet, to read from the various drives (which is primarily meant only for storage of personal data), to play music and some single-player games. All the rest provided by the internet. Information searching/Chatting/Mailing/Documentation editing/journal maintenance/daily schedule maintenance/news/rss/shopping, etc. What else will you use for your computer for? Ok, actually i have been working on mainframes for some time now and am getting adjusted to the "dumb terminal" concept. Then i started associating the concept with scenario we are observing all over the net. As a matter of fact this will reduce the power of processing required on the client side also!!! Looks like the world is changing.... for the bettter, yup, i am sure. technorati tags: New internet age , dumb terminal , internet based world

Single Sign ons

Suddenly struck me.....Are'nt single sign ons becoming popular? First it was Microsoft with their Passport. Now google suddenly seems to be moving towards it. If you dont know what i mean check their, personalized google , Search History , and Gmail . You can use the same gmail account on all three. Wonder when i will be able to associate my blog with gmail and orkut also. Anyway i became an MCP yesterday, in ASP.NET using C#. So i can officially charge more. HAHA. I know atleast one company whom it does not make any difference. Ya, that i work there.
